When talking about mixer as one of the most important part in building material process, there are some special treatment used in mixing machine which is different from other industry mixers.

Suitable mixer can be used for building material is plough shear mixer and twin shafts paddle mixer. These two kinds of mixers can both used for some ordinary building material but plough shear mixer will be better for some special building material which need chopper to break agglomerates like gypsum, fiber board.

Firstly, mixing tool is the most important because it must be wear-resistant enough for some hard material like sand. So, Vortex design wear resistant material like 2Cr13, Hardox and 16Mn for plow and paddle. Furthermore, we will also use alloy steel bead welding on plow and paddle which could strengthen the hardness of mixing tool. However, the plow and paddle also need to be designed as bolts connection which can be change easily in the future.

Secondary, the drive power shall be big enough because most building material is heavy density. Motor power, gear reducer, shaft and mixing tool must be strong enough to ensure working life.

Thirdly, the shaft speed must be fast enough to get homogeneity within shortest time because most building material product line is automatic control system. Mixing time has great influence on the whole production efficiency. According to our experience, the mixing time could be controlled in 60-90 seconds.

At last, discharge door on mixer should be designed big enough to make fast discharge. According to our experience, the discharge speed can be controlled in 30 seconds. Both plough shear mixer and twin shafts paddle mixer can use Bombay discharge valve which can fully open at the bottom of mixer.
