Awesome Features Offered on Vortex Ribbon Mixer
Some new characteristics are being offered on Vortex Ribbon Blenders for customers requiring extra precision and efficiency. Ribbon blenders are mainly used for fast blending of dry powders, pellets, granules and other solid forms. The ribbon blenders also blend paste-form products and solid-liquid suspensions. The materials are being blended by a horizontal agitator consisting of inner and outer helical ribbons within a U-shaped trough. The helical ribbons are precisely pitched to move materials in a well-balanced axial and radical flow pattern. The inner ribbons move the materials from the middle to two ends, while the outer ribbon move the materials from two ends to the middle of vessel. Thus, the blending action form a homogeneous blending pattern.
The pictured model VRB-2, a 2000L volume ribbon blender, with all parts made of stainless steel. It is equipped with the following new features:
- Solid agitator shaft with precision formed ribbons having angled leading edges to prevent material build-up.
- Scrapers welded to the spokes and ribbons, having a close tolerance to the end walls. As a standard, trough corners are ‘radiused’ which further eliminates dead corn of blending.
- The inlet is customized by customer’s requirements. And the discharge equips with pneumatic operated flap valve, which ensure the easy discharge of materials. Meanwhile, shaft guards easy for operators safely view the batch and charge raw material while the agitators are running.
- The sealing method is Teflon packing seal and air purged seals, which ensure the perfect seal of shaft.
