Generally speaking, ribbon blender is a kind of mild mixing machine which is widely used in light density powder material. However, if adding some liquid into powder which is easily caking during mixing, ribbon blender is not suitable but adding chopper is a good way to solve this problem.
We have a customer named AB Mauri need one 2000L ribbon blender to mix their nutrition product. AB Mauri Brasil is a market-leading bakery supply company with a well-earned reputation for innovation and reliability.

At first, the customer found us for ribbon blender in 2012. The plant manager Mr. Gomez told us that their existing ribbon blender can not get their expected product because the final product is easy caking if adding liquid. So, the customer wanted to ask us for helping them to find a good solution to mix their product.
Through discussion with customer, Vortex designed ribbon blender with three choppers on the side of shell. Considering the position of choppers, double helix ribbon is not suitable for it. So, we special design disconnected ribbon agitator to avoid ribbon meet chopper blade but we must care about the material movement action through disconnect ribbon in order to have convection movement principle inside the mixer.
Furthermore, in order to get better liquid spraying effect, we put liquid spraying nozzle toward chopper which can break caking effectively. The customer controls the liquid adding quantity by dosing pump.
At last, we design scraper for two end sides to let product easily move into middle and don’t stay at two end plates.
Before delivery, the customer came and took material to our factory for inspection the ribbon blender we manufactured. The result witnessed that the ribbon blender with chopper we designed can fully solve the problem that customer meet. This mixer has been used for 2 years and help customer lift production capacity and they are considering to get one more mixer in near future.
